The Janet Byars Mayes Nursing Endowment is established to continue the legacy of Janet Marie Byars Mayes, a registered nurse, who was a strong advocate for patient care, the education of nurses, and service to the general community.
The Bobby Byars Foundation will continue to budget and annually fund this endowment as a way of helping students advance their education within the area of nursing.
